Tucked among the sandy beaches and sprawling fields of Sweden's largest island, a traditional 18th century limestone barn was converted into a modern farmhouse on the Baltic Sea.

Over two years, PALTA completed a gut renovation of the kitchen and primary bathroom, restoration of the original 18th century salt cellar, construction of a traditional farmhouse pantry room, interior design and styling of primary and guest bedrooms and a spacious lofted living area.

Working with local craftsmen to restore the property authentically to its surroundings, the home features Gotland limestone countertops, locally produced custom oak cabinetry, and a collection of antique pieces sourced from the island's well known thrift community.
